Back in November 2021, Baird Group was thrilled to see our CFO Nick Scott named ‘Outstanding Yorkshire Finance Leader of the Year’ at the Yorkshire Finance Leaders Awards.
The prestigious awards recognise and celebrate exceptional financial leadership in Yorkshire, showcasing the achievements of local finance directors, chief finance officers and fast-rising leaders who underpin and sustain the region’s economic success.
The glittering awards ceremony was held at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, and the achievements of some of Yorkshire’s brightest financial talents were celebrated by over 200 finance leaders and professionals in attendance.
A spokesperson for the awards’ sponsors noted that “despite the challenges that businesses have faced over the last 18 months, the fact that many of Yorkshire’s finance leaders and wider finance teams are continuing to drive growth and succeed is a true testament to their quality and strength.”
With Baird Group in such a positive position coming out of the pandemic, it’s clear that Nick’s approach to navigating the company through the past two years and their many challenges stood out to the judges and led them to see him as the Outstanding Yorkshire Finance Leader. Nick’s role demonstrates the commercial cruciality of a strong financial leader to an organisation like Baird, and the whole company joins in congratulating him on this well-deserved award.
