Mark joined Baird in 1999. Previously held senior roles at Sears PLC and Arcadia Group. He has a Finance Degree, MBA and 25 years in Retail, Mark’s role is to work with the Management Team and Arafa Holdings, our majority shareholder, to ensure Baird continues to be one of the leading menswear retailers, wholesalers and brand-builders in the UK.
EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT TEAM
Group IT Director
Graham is responsible for the entire Groups IT infrastructure including development of our own in-house system. Graham has been with the Group for over 25 years. Graham is a Trustee of the Group Pension Scheme.
Group HR Director
Paul is responsible for the HR department. He has worked for BMB for 11 years. Paul has a vast amount of knowledge and experience within HR covering all areas of our business.
Group Finance Director
Martyn spent 20 years in senior finance roles within Arcadia Group. Martyn has also worked for Rubicon Retail and Sainsbury’s before joining Baird. Martyn is a Trustee of the Group Pension Scheme.
David has been with the Group for 22 years running our retail outlets both concession and stand alone stores. David previously worked at Sears.
Brand Director Ben Sherman
Johanna has over 20 years of experience within product creation for a number of premium global brands and has worked in the Far East, US and UK. Johanna heads up Ben Sherman as Brand Director and leads the design, merchandise, buying and marketing teams across retail, wholesale and web
BA in Fashion and Textiles and a Masters in Textile Technology. Sarah has worked for the Group for 20 years buying formalwear for all sectors of the market. Sarah is responsible for products for our wholesale division.
Sam has worked for the Baird Group for 10 years and heads up the buying of our casualwear and shirts. Previously Sam was head of all buying operations for our Melka brand and Haggar.
Ben Sherman Merchandise Director
Helen has worked with the Group for 10 years; previously working at Arcadia. Helen previously headed up the Merchandise and Distribution for our Sainsbury’s operation before moving to head up Retail & Wholesale Merchandising for retail stores and wholesale customers.
Divisional Director Warehousing
Paul runs our logistics and distribution centre and the management of our logistics function via TNT. Paul has been with the Group for 10 years and previously worked in finance.
Buying & Merchandise Director
Luke has an extensive range of experience across the UK and abroad, leading the product teams for brands including PVH (Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein) and Marks & Spencer. He now heads the Buying and Merchandising team for our Core business. Luke has a MSC Masters Degree in Retail Fashion Marketing from Heriot Watt University.
